Zero Incident

Philosophy

At R&M Drywall, safety is not just a priority — it's a core value. Our Zero Incident Philosophy reflects our unwavering commitment to creating a work environment where every team member goes home safe, every day.

We believe that all incidents are preventable through proactive planning, continuous training, and a culture that empowers our people to speak up and act safely at all times.

We integrate safety into every aspect of our operations — from the initial planning stages to the final walkthrough. Our team is held to the highest safety standards, and we consistently exceed industry requirements to ensure that both our workers and partners remain protected.

Safety is not a goal — it’s our standard, we do not settle for less than zero incidents.

Three areas of Safety Investment

Culture

Our commitment to safety begins with strong leadership and a proactive approach to risk prevention. We prioritize:

  • Leadership-Driven Safety Culture that sets the standard for all team members.
  • Pre-Employment Evaluations to ensure a qualified and safety-conscious workforce.
  • Highest-Quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for maximum protection.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail, including safe cutting and mixing stations, portable stud choppers, prefabrication, and a steadfast commitment to maintaining an organized and hazard-free work environment.

We prioritize workplace safety through comprehensive training and certification programs for our field employees:

  • New Hire Safety Orientation provided for all field employees.
  • OSHA 30 and CPR Certification required for all Foremen and Safety Officers.
  • OSHA 10 or Equivalent Certification achieved by the majority of field employees.
  • Weekly Toolbox Talks conducted on all job sites to reinforce safety protocols.
  • Ongoing Training and Certifications for field personnel, including Fall Protection, Lift Operations, Scaffold Safety, and more.

Supervision

We uphold the highest safety standards through rigorous oversight and dedicated personnel:

  • Weekly Documented Inspections conducted on all job sites to ensure compliance and safety.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required for all foremen to reinforce industry-leading safety practices.
  • Dedicated Safety Team consisting of 10 full-time safety professionals, including Safety Superintendents, and Safety Officers, and our Foremans which have OSHA 30—fully committed to safety supervision with no tool-related responsibilities.
